PRASEM / PRAZYM QUARTZ Prasem or Prazym simply means "green," but the word has come to characterize specific types of Quartz with Hedenbergite inclusions from Seriphos Greece, as well as new finds from Inner Mongolia. Another Prazym comes from Eastern Russia, and has an Actinolite inclusion, growing often on top of Andradite Garnet. These fascinating specimens have aesthetic, mineralogical, and investment appeal. They are some of the finest green Quartzes available!
  2. SMOKY QUARTZ Smokey Quartz occurs all over the world. Water clear high luster gemmy smoky is highly sought after and somewhat rare. Switzerland is perhaps most known for the standard of top grade Smokey Quartz, but quite a few other localities can challenge Swiss Smokey Quartz. Malawi in particular has what we believe to be the best Smokey Quartz on earth! Mulangi and Zomba also both produce great clarity.
  3. FADEN QUARTZ Faden means "thread" in German, and refers to the white line that usually runs through the center of the crystal. Faden Quartz comes from a handful of locations worldwide but is most prevalent in Pakistan. Historically it came from Waziristan but more recently has been found in the city of Quetta in Northern Pakistan. It also comes from many other alpine-type localities.

  9. CHOCOLATE WINDOW QUARTZ Chocolate Window Quartz is a variety of Quartz from China originally found in 2005. Random pockets of the material were found for only 3 years, and then disappeared. It is characterized by long milky white coated Quartz covered by a secondary growth that is clear and glassy, and has a natural irradiation that occurred around the edges.
