FADEN QUARTZ

Faden means "thread" in German, and refers to the white line that usually runs through the center of the crystal. Faden Quartz comes from a handful of locations worldwide but is most prevalent in Pakistan. Historically it came from Waziristan but more recently has been found in the city of Quetta in Northern Pakistan. It also comes from many other alpine-type localities. X
