Crystallized Rose Quartz is a rare phenomena in the Quartz world! Brazil is the most prolific producer of Rose Quartz crystals.Brazilian Rose Quartz can be quite gemmy, sceptered, almost always with a melted appearance to it, and can form in fantastic Van Allen Belts around Smokey Quartz. Rose Quartz deposits have also been found in Maine, Afghanistan, and a few other obscure localities.
Brazil is the one country that has the largest network of specimen and gem mining in the world. It is well known for many of the world's best pegmatites, producing high class Gem Crystals. Brazil has the widest variety of multi-colored Tourmaline worldwide, and is semi-regularly producing new colors every few years. The vast array of Quartz varieties from Brazil deserve a book of their own.
