AQUAMARINE

This famous sea-colored precious stone has long been sought after to fill the true-blue spectrum in the gem world as an alternative to the harder and pricier sapphire. Deep blues are hard to come by, but do hail recently from Madagascar, Vietnam, and Mozambique. Other major Aquamarine specimen deposits of note are Pakistan, Namibia, and Brazil. While always found in the market, truly top quality colored fine Aquamarine is scarce.
