A “Dark Star” of light, naturally formed in a geological oxidization layer in Brazil. The crystals of rutile and hematite are distinct, and have a metal element all to themselves. The rutile is seen as sharp golden crystals and is an oxide of titanium. The crystals have a radiant star burst habit to them, making for some surreal specimens. The hematite is also metallic and mirror-like, seen as shiny black plate like crystals, giving this piece a sturdy base to grow on. Dynamic collection piece with prime aesthetics.
