This Citrine has some damage to the termination. In the good old days, Citrine was plentiful. These days, there is a pretty serious lack of good Citrine on the market. There is a shortage of rough, and a shortage of crystals. Citrine has come from all over the world, in various shades. We do not have a huge amount in stock so get it while you can!
Tourmaline grows inside of Quartz in quite a few places on Earth. Most of ours are from Brazil. Meaning "all colors," tourmaline has become the most fascinating of all gem crystals. In the past 10 years, the interest in tourmaline has spiked tremendously! Many special pockets are named and pedigreed, and the sheer variety in tourmaline will always keep it popular. Look for and get to know the various color zoning, usually in the form of banding and core-coloring. Tourmaline has a somewhat of a cult following. Its just one of those gems that never ceases to amaze!!
Quartz from Brazil deserves a book of its own, or even an entire library of its own! It is simply impossible to know of all the varieties that exist. Many of the ones that make it to market have become commonplace at this day and age due to the prolific amounts produced. There is such a diverse wealth of Quartz in Brazil that it would require lifetimes of study. Surely there are many more below ground just waiting to be found. This is a area of our website that will expand continuously year after year. Brazil is perhaps the most important places on Earth for Quartz, as there is more of it that comes from there than anywhere else, and not just in quantity but in diversity.
