This specimen features a lively contrast of brilliant blue apatite crystals on a matrix of white orthoclase feldspar. It comes from the Golconda pegmatite in Minas Gerais, Brazil. This mine is known for its colorful assortment of gem crystals. The glassy blue hexagon shaped apatite crystals are mostly concentrated on the display face, though other areas of the specimen also show mineralization.
