Amethyst comes from all over the world. There are some famous prolific deposits and some oddball localities. There are too many to name! Amethyst has the ability to form in quite a variety of ways, making it highly collectible. Check back regularly as there will always be more to make it to this page! Quartz was our first stone passion. For a decade we have attempted to gather as much diversely included and colorful Quartzes as we could find, from every corner of the globe, travelling both to country of origin, and utilizing a vast network of suppliers developed through exhibiting at major USA and international gem and mineral shows. Here is a representation of those efforts - some of the best of our finds, as well as a tremendous volume that has just piled up as a result of wholesaling in volume! If you have a variety of aesthetic Quartz to add to our offerings, we'd love to see a flat of material! We also personally collect high quality fine Quartzes.
Namibia possesses Africa's most developed mineral culture. The amount of detail given to collect specimens without damage, and to understand the value (as opposed to the many gem-rough communities across Africa who do not understand the need for such care), has given Namibia a unique opportunity to display a full range of specimens to the world, year after year! Africa has many mining challenges but Namibia is rich with opportunity, and has been visited for specimen collecting by foreigners for over 100 years! Since the closing of Tsumeb, Erongo has taken over as the Combo-King locality of multiple mineral associations. The diverse pegmatite there produces Aquamarine, Schorl, Fluorite, and Orthoclase! Sometimes even all together!! Erongo is famous for producing prolific Aquamarine specimen. Lesser known is that Eronga and its surronding region has a knack for producing odd twinning in fluorites, rarities such as Jeremejevite, and an array of mostly untapped tourmaline pegmatite fields!
